Army Activity Program - Year 9

Dear Parent/ Guardian,

I hope you and your family have had a good start to the School Year.

You may remember that in the summer term we had to cancel an Army activity day building teamwork skills.

The next phase of our work with the Army is a 5 week module program that is aimed at developing individual skills. The program started last week and has proved to be beneficial to the students who have attended.

This five week course is designed to support personal development, with focus on behaviours, teamwork, planning and problem solving through practical exercises, group discussions and tasks.

Designed to promote an understanding of and develop personal resilience and confidence in participants, it is delivered by trained young soldiers who provide examples of role models.

There are a few spaces left for the remaining 4 weeks. If you would like your child to take part in the group, please complete the form attached as soon as possible and ask them to bring it back to myself. The next session is on Wednesday 29 September, and they will need to bring their PE kit into school for this session.
