Dear Parents / Guardians
Further to our communication on 16 September, please now see attached letter containing important information regarding the Covid Vaccinations that are being delivered to all students by the Immunisation Team on:
Monday 27 September 2021 (Years 7, 10 and 11)
Wednesday 29 September 2021 (Years 8 and 9)
Please also see attached ‘A Guide for Children and Young People’ from Public Health England.
Unfortunately, the consent form cannot be completed electronically and is currently a paper process. This will therefore mean that all students will be given a consent form by the end of today to bring home for your
completion and return to Reception by this Friday 24 September 2021.
As with the Flu sprays, parents only need to complete1 form per child and, should you need to find your child’s NHS number, you can do so by using the following link:
The vaccinations will be delivered to all students on the same dates as the Flu sprays ie Years 8 to 11 will be given both the Flu spray and the Covid vaccination; only those aged 12 on the above dates in Year 7 will receive the Covid vaccination. The younger Year 7 students will be able to attend vaccine hubs where clinics are being set up specifically for them.
Please ensure that students wear their PE shirts to school on their allotted date, as this will ensure students can have their injections without having to remove their shirts.
If you have any questions regarding this, please contact the School-age Immunisation Team on 0300 003 0323 and not the school.
Kind regards
Mr Harrison
Headteacher
