I am writing to inform you that we have been made aware of a Crofton Student in Year 8 who has tested positive for COVID 19, and was in school prior to this.
We know that you may find this concerning, but we are continuing to monitor the situation and are working closely with Public Health England. This letter is to inform you of the current situation and pass on advice from Public Health England on how to support your child, which has been included at the end of this letter. Please be reassured that for most people, coronavirus (COVID-19) will be a mild illness.Parents of the small number of children who have been in close contact with the individual who has tested positive for coronavirus (COVID-19) will receive an email as soon as possible informing them that their child must stay at home for the required self-isolation period.
Therefore, please regularly check the email account for the address you have supplied to the school for any further contact we may need to make with you individually.
