Dear Year 11 Parents and Carers,
I hope you and your family are well.
It has been really nice to see so many students continue to engage with their online learning via Teams and to see some of our students who are able to be in school. We are hoping that we will be able to welcome all Year 11 students back after February half-term, once the Government has indicated this is safe to do.
Since my last letter we have received further news about the Ofqual consultation regarding awarding of grades to GCSE students. Below I have summarised some of the key discussion points and how we advise students to respond to these, if these are agreed in the final consultation.
I must make it clear that we are still in the consultation phase and final decisions will not be made until the end of February. However, what is very clear is that teachers will need to use a range of evidence to support their recommendation of awards...
