Next Steps Fair
On Tuesday 9th November from 10am- 4pm we are offering our Level 3 students the opportunity to meet universities and employers to find out their options for when they leave us. We would like to open this up to our local school so please do let me know if you have any students you would like to bring along. Please could you let me know by COP on Friday 22nd October if this is something you are interested in, space are available on a first come first served basis. We also ask that you bring approx. 20 students max, but please let me know if you have any questions around this.
Higher Education Evenings
This year we have three Higher Education events booked in where we will have a range of university talks and stands. We will be inviting our learner’s parents and carers, but we would also like to open this invitation up to parents and carers of your Year 11 students. I have attached the information, please feel free to share with your Year 11’s parents and carers if you feel this is something that would be useful to them. The idea is that we would like to parents and carers to be aware of university options locally, as well as Higher Education options at Fareham College.
At Fareham College, our purpose is to ensure that every student succeeds to the best of their ability and can progress onto their chosen career. Whether your child decides to go straight into employment, go to university or undertake an Apprenticeship after their time at Fareham College; our team of skilled and experienced Careers Centre Advisors are always available to offer guidance and support.
We have three Higher Education evenings planned for the upcoming academic year at our Bishopsfield Road campus:
Wednesday 10th November, 6.00pm to 7.30pm
Wednesday 16th March, 6.00pm to 7.30pm
Wednesday 15th June, 6.00pm to 7.30pm
These events will give you information regarding the transition from Further Education to Higher Education, wellbeing at university, student finance and more! You will also have the opportunity to talk to a variety of universities, as well as finding out more about our Higher Education options at Fareham College.
