Dear Parent/Carer,
We are coming to the end of our in-school Covid-19 testing period and can very happily report that to date have had no positive student cases occur. This is testament to how well our community is adhering to the safety guidelines and that current measures have been working well. As you are aware, the next phase of the plan is for all students to be offered home testing kits, to make the return to Crofton safer for everyone.
Testing students at home Following the testing timeline in place, Years 10 and 11 will receive their home kits today, Thursday 11 March. Years 8 and 9 will receive theirs tomorrow, Friday 12 March, and Year 7 will receive theirs after their third and final in-school test, on Friday 19 March.
We would like them to take their tests EVERY SUNDAY AND WEDNESDAY EVENINGS. You will only need to tell the school the result of a POSITIVE test. You need to report all test results to the NHS Track and Test system and details of how to do this are covered in the booklet accompanying the kits.
Tests are free of charge. Students will receive 2 packs of 3 tests in a box with a leaflet on how to take the test and report the results. This will take your child up until the Easter holidays...
