High temperatures are again forecast next week, especially on Monday and Tuesday. Given the weather warnings in place and the likelihood of continuing warm weather throughout the week, we will be allowing students to wear their PE kit as an alternative to the usual school uniform next week. This must be correct Crofton PE kit, you can check details of this here: https://www.croftonschool.co.uk/uniform
This is in addition to the measures already in place to help us all manage the unusually high temperatures safely and comfortably:
Students are not required to wear ties or blazers for the remainder of this term. Shorts are part of our school uniform, you can find details on this in our uniform section of the school website.
Additional indoor areas during breaks are being provided for those students wanting to stay out of the sun.
There are a number of water bottle refill stations around the school, and we have now added additional ones, which students can access at breaks and between lessons. Please ensure your child brings a large refillable water bottle to school.
Students are welcome to bring and use sunscreen and hats for use outdoors, and PE lessons are being adapted to ensure a choice of outdoor and indoor activities.
