Dear Parent/Guardian,
I am writing to inform you about an incident that occurred in school yesterday. I am aware of information about this circulating on social media and wish to ensure that you have accurate information about this.
I can confirm two students brought fake knives into school yesterday. When other students became aware of this, they reported this to staff who were able to confiscate them immediately. Although no students were put in any danger and the matter was dealt with swiftly and safely, we do take such incidents very seriously, not least because of the understandable concern this causes to students, staff and parents. Police have been informed and we are dealing with the matter in line with our Behaviour Policy.
