Dear Parents & Carers,
Following the recent delay in the relaxation of COVID-19 restrictions the Department of Education have released new guidance on transition events.
Unfortunately, the guidance specifically outlines that the mixing of Year 6 bubbles is not allowed and thismeans we will be unable to host your son/daughter on Monday 5 andTuesday 6 July as originally planned. Whilst these two days cannot take place, we are working really hard to formulate a plan which will provide your children with the most effective transition experience possible whilst keeping all students safe and within their school bubbles.
We will distribute more information to parents/guardians on Tuesday 22June which will explain how we will carry out our transition experiences to ensure that we can provide the most amount of normality for as many students as possible. These plans will be implemented with your children’s safety at the forefront.
In the meantime, I do hope you are looking forward to the upcoming Transition Information Evening on Wednesday 23 June at 6:00pm. We are hosting the event live using Microsoft Teams and will be distributing information on how to access the broadcast early next week. I look forward to meeting you all very soon.
Yours faithfully,
Mr A Playford
Head of Year 7
