We are delighted to invite prospective students and their parents to our Open Evening on Wednesday 22 September 2021, 6.00pm to 8.00pm. You are welcome to arrive any time after 6.00 pm as there is no set programme for the evening. There will be a range of displays and activities to give you a flavour of the lessons your child will experience at Crofton School. There will also be a presentation in the Main Hall from Mr Harrison, repeated throughout the evening. We will assign a time to you for this on arrival. Please be aware parking on our site is limited, so do allow plenty of time for this and use alternative transport if possible.
Safety Measures
As I am sure you will understand, in order to safely welcome so many new people into our school, important measures will be in place for the protection of everyone attending. These will include:
A requirement that all adults wear a face covering in indoor areas, unless exempt.
Limited capacity in each classroom. If the capacity is reached you will be asked to wait outside or come back to the room later. We will also need to restrict some of the more interactive elements of the evening.
Restricting admissions to the Hall. If you wish to attend the Headteacher’s presentation you will be provided with a timed ticket. If you do not wish to attend, or capacity limits mean we are unable to provide you with a space, a recorded version will be available here the following day.
Enhanced cleaning and hygiene measures, including availability of hand sanitiser in all areas.
We hope and expect all those attending to respect these important safety measures. Of course, we are all aware that Covid-19 measures could change at short notice. Whilst we expect to go ahead with our Open Evening as described, do please keep checking our website ahead of the event to keep up to date with any amendments that might be necessary.
