This year’s Summer Concerts will take place on Monday 4 and Tuesday 5 July in the school hall at 6:00pm (with performers arriving at school at 5:30pm); we aim to finish just after 9:00pm. There will be fantastic items from all of our ensembles as well as your last chance to hear some of the songs that were sung in the Drama department’s amazing production of Grease! We are asking for donations for tickets (using ScoPay), at a suggested £2 per person; after you have paid, please click on the link below to register the amount of ‘tickets’ that you require:
We will have a list on the door of those who have paid for ‘tickets’.
We would like to remind performers of the Crofton School concert uniform. The code of dress for anyone performing in the Summer Concerts is a smart, plain black outfit with plain black shoes. Boys should wear a plain tie of a single colour (of each student’s choice). Girls should wear smart trousers, a skirt or a sleeved dress that reaches below the knee when in a seated position. If possible, please try to avoid striped clothing and casual looking clothing such as flared trousers for example.
Students performing their songs from the Grease production (who do not have the above uniform) should aim to wear their production t-shirt or a similar black t-shirt. Please contact us if you have any difficulties or questions via joliver@croftonschool.co.uk.
Information for performers:
On Monday, performers should arrive at the main hall in normal school uniform (with any instrument that they might need to play) at the beginning of period 3 (11:15am); we will rehearse during period 3, period 4, afternoon registration and period 5 (but not lunchtime).
On Tuesday, we will be performing to Year 3 Crofton Hammond Junior School students and Year 2 Crofton Anne-Dale Infant School students in the morning; performers should to go to the hall (in school uniform) at the beginning of period 1 in order to set up for our shorter concert that will begin at around 9:45am.
We look forward to seeing you there!
Mr Oliver and Mr Allen
